Since February 14, 2025, he has served as the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Continuing Education at Tashkent State University of Law.
A. Yakubov was born in 1985 in the city of Qarshi, Qashqadaryo region. He holds a higher education degree, having graduated from Samarkand State University with a bachelor’s degree in 2007 and Tashkent State University of Law with a master’s degree in 2011.
He is a Doctor of Science in Law (DSc) and an Associate Professor. He is also a 3rd-rank Advisor of Justice, a practicing lawyer, an arbitrator, and a mediator.
Between 2008 and 2022, he balanced his career in advocacy and legal services with various responsible positions at Tashkent State University of Law, starting as a lecturer and progressing to senior lecturer, Secretary of the University Council, and Director of the Center for Professional Training of Legal Personnel according to International Standards. From 2022 to 2025, he served effectively as the Rector of Qarshi International University.
A. Yakubov is recognized as one of the country’s leading scholars in the fields of private international law, international commercial law, and alternative dispute resolution (mediation and international commercial arbitration). He has conducted research and gained professional experience in these fields at leading universities and centers in the USA, Japan, Singapore, Austria, and other developed nations. Throughout his professional and academic career, he has published nearly 100 scientific and educational works, including textbooks, monographs, articles, and abstracts in prestigious local and foreign journals.
As a highly qualified specialist, he actively participates in law-making and legal education reforms in our country, contributing modern approaches to increasing the legal awareness and culture of the population.
He has earned the respect of his colleagues through his creative, analytical, and critical thinking, broad modern worldview, initiative, and leadership skills characterized by his ability to inspire and lead a team.
He has been awarded the commemorative badges “30th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and “30th Anniversary of the Constitution of Uzbekistan.”
Since February 14, 2025, he has been continuing his activities as the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Continuing Education at Tashkent State University of Law.
